Tailspot
Pet Health Diary
These Terms govern your use of the Tailspot mobile application ("the App") and the cloud services hosted at zorangojkovic.com/protail-legal. By installing or using Tailspot you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Tailspot is built and operated by Zoran Gojković, an independent developer based in Serbia. Contact: fenixjzdev@gmail.com.
You retain full ownership of every piece of data you put into Tailspot — pet profiles, daily logs, photos, vaccine records, medication schedules, and notes. We claim no ownership over any content you create.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you log and for keeping your phone reasonably secure. The App's local data is encrypted at rest, but a determined attacker with physical access to an unlocked phone can still read it.
Tailspot ships in two tiers:
Tailspot Pro is a subscription billed by Google Play. Two base plans are offered:
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. To cancel, open Google Play → Subscriptions → Tailspot and tap Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then. Refunds are handled through Google Play under their refund policy.
Pricing may change. We will notify you in-app before any price increase takes effect, and you may cancel before the change applies.

Insights generated by the App — including local rule-engine notifications and AI-generated summaries produced through the optional AI Insights feature — are informational only and never constitute a diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for veterinary advice. AI Insights uses a Large Language Model and may produce content that is incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect. You are the final decision maker for your pet's care. If your pet shows symptoms of illness or distress, contact a licensed veterinarian. Do not rely on any insight notification for emergency or time-sensitive medical decisions.
The vet-ready PDF report and the shared-journal snapshot are intended as aids for your veterinarian — structured summaries of what you observed at home — not clinical records. Your veterinarian's professional judgement overrides anything in those documents.
Some Tailspot features rely on third-party services described in our Privacy Policy. When you use those features, your data passes through those services under their respective terms. The third parties currently used are: Google Play (billing), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push), Google Places (vet directory), Google ML Kit (on-device OCR), and OpenAI (AI Insights and voice-to-log text parsing). Their availability, pricing, and policies are outside our control; if any of them becomes unavailable, the dependent feature may be temporarily suspended.
When you generate a share link to send to your veterinarian, the recipient becomes able to view the pet snapshot you choose to share and to post notes back into your journal. The recipient is not a party to these Terms and we have no contractual relationship with them. By generating a link, you:
The Tailspot name, logo, app design, source code, server code, and documentation are owned by Zoran Gojković. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own, for the duration of your subscription (Pro features) or for the lifetime of the App (Free features).
The App runs entirely on your phone and continues to work without an internet connection (Free features) or with intermittent connection (Pro sync recovers on reconnect). The cloud server runs on shared web hosting; we target 99% uptime but cannot guarantee it. AI Insights, vet shared journal, push notifications, and the vet directory depend on third-party services and may be temporarily unavailable. Outages do not affect on-device data — your records remain on your phone.
You may stop using Tailspot at any time by uninstalling. Pro subscribers should cancel the subscription in Google Play first to avoid the next charge. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been used to attack our infrastructure; in such cases we will stop accepting writes from the offending purchase token, but cloud-stored ciphertext remains available for export per the Privacy Policy retention window.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for any claim arising out of your use of the App is limited to the amount you have paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including (without limit) loss of data, lost profits, or pet-related veterinary costs.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Disputes that cannot be resolved by direct negotiation will be submitted to the competent court in Lazarevac, Serbia. Nothing in this clause limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be flagged inside the App; continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not accept the change, cancel your subscription and stop using the App.
