01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you") and Zoran Gojkovic ("we", "us", "developer") governing your use of the Zero Lap mobile application ("Zero Lap", "the app") and the server services it uses.

By installing or using Zero Lap you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

02Description of service

Zero Lap is a GPS speedometer and vehicle performance meter for Android. It is offered free with an optional one-time Pro licence and optional AI credit packs, all sold through Google Play. Features include, but are not limited to:

• Digital and analog speedometer (km/h and mph), HUD mirror mode, landscape cockpit faces, compass rose, floating speed bubble over other apps, speed-limit warning
• Performance tests: 0–100 km/h, 0–60 mph, 0–200 km/h, quarter and eighth mile, braking, roll-on; G-force; estimated power (Pro); air-density correction from weather data
• Lap timer with track setup and lap history
• Drive log with route map (street or satellite view), trip statistics, the places and streets a drive went through, and export (CSV, GPX, KML, PDF); backup and restore to a file, or (Pro) to our server
• Drive links: publish a drive as a public web page with route replay, valid for a period you choose, and delete it from the app at any time
• Live tracking: share a link so others can follow your drive on a map as it happens (Pro)
• AI drive analysis of selected drives from the log (Pro; uses credits)
• Drive video with data overlay and optional on-device AI vehicle counter (Pro)
• OBD-II diagnostics over a Bluetooth adapter: live data, trouble codes, freeze frames, readiness, fuel consumption estimate, automatic sensor recording while connected, a connection that stays alive in the background with automatic reconnection, live readings on the home screen, and AI diagnosis of a report (Pro; AI diagnosis uses credits)
• Service log with vehicles, service entries, reminders, cloud backup and AI vehicle specification lookup (Pro; the lookup uses credits)
• Tyre pressure from Bluetooth TPMS sensors (Pro)
• Waypoints: save a place and find it again by map or compass (Pro)
• Lean & Tilt: lean angle for motorcycles, pitch and roll for quads (Pro)
• Crash detection with an SOS text message to your emergency contacts (Pro)
• External Bluetooth GPS receiver support (Pro)

The list of Pro features is shown in the app and may change with updates.

03User responsibilities

3.1 Safe driving

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Driving safely is your sole responsibility, regardless of anything the app displays, sounds or sends
• You will comply with all traffic laws, speed limits and road-safety regulations in your jurisdiction
• You will not let the app distract you from the road
• Any consequence of your distraction, inattention or decisions while driving is entirely your responsibility

3.2 Lawful use only

You agree not to use Zero Lap:

• For illegal street racing or any other unlawful driving
• To exceed speed limits on public roads or in any way that endangers yourself or others
• To interfere with emergency services, law enforcement or public safety
• To reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the app's source code or algorithms
• To redistribute, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app without our written permission
• To circumvent licence verification, purchases, credit accounting or any technical protection
• To send abusive, unlawful or misleading content through the feedback function
• To publish, through a drive link, a drive whose content is unlawful, that documents unlawful driving, or that you have no right to make public
• To use live tracking to follow a person or a vehicle without that person's knowledge and consent
• In violation of any applicable law

3.3 Your vehicle and equipment

You are responsible for the correct and safe use of any OBD-II adapter, tyre-pressure sensor, GPS receiver or phone mount you connect to the app, and for any effect they have on your vehicle. Do not plug in or unplug hardware while driving.

3.4 Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use Zero Lap. Users under 18 need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.5 Drive links you publish

By creating a link you grant us the non-exclusive right to store that drive on our server and display it on the page, under the Zero Lap name and with a link to the app store listing, for the lifetime of the link. You are responsible for what the drive reveals — where you were, when, and how fast. We may remove a link without notice if it violates these Terms or the law, or if the service is abused, and we may limit how many links an installation can keep live. Links expire after the period you chose and the page then stops working; we do not keep expired drives.

3.6 Live tracking you start

By starting live tracking you grant us the non-exclusive right to receive, store and display that drive on the page, under the Zero Lap name and with a link to the app store listing. You are responsible for what it reveals — where you are, when, and how fast — and for having the consent of anyone else whose whereabouts it shows. Live tracking runs until you switch it off or close the app; while the app runs it does not end by itself, and without internet the positions wait on the phone and fill in the route later. The link works for 30 days from the start and the page then stops working. We may end or remove a live tracking without notice if it violates these Terms or the law, or if the service is abused, and we may limit how many people can watch at the same time and how many trackings an installation can start.

04Accuracy and feature disclaimers

Zero Lap provides estimates computed from your phone's sensors and from third-party hardware. No value shown by the app is guaranteed to be exact. Results depend on device hardware, mounting, environment, GPS signal and the equipment you connect.

4.1 GPS speed and position

GPS speed accuracy depends on satellite visibility, device hardware and surroundings (buildings, tunnels, trees, weather). Typical accuracy is on the order of a few km/h in the open and degrades in cities and tunnels. The app shows the current GPS quality so you can judge it. The speed-limit warning depends on the limit you enter; the app does not know the posted limit.

4.2 Performance tests, G-force, power

Acceleration, braking and roll-on times combine GPS with inertial sensors; typical accuracy under good conditions is about ±0.1 s. G-force depends on stable mounting and incline compensation. Estimated power is derived from the acceleration curve and the vehicle weight you enter, with an expected tolerance of about ±10%; it is not a dynamometer reading and must not be used for competition classification or certification.

4.3 OBD-II diagnostics and AI diagnosis

The adapter link may stay connected in the background and reconnect automatically to the adapter you last used; a notification shows while it is connected and lets you disconnect. The AI vehicle specification is generated by a language model from the make, model, year and other details you enter; it is general factory information that may be incomplete, outdated or wrong for your exact variant, and is not a substitute for the vehicle's documentation.

4.4 Crash detection and SOS

4.5 Tyre pressure

Readings come from third-party Bluetooth sensors and are as accurate as the sensor. The feature works only with the sensor types listed in the app, and only while the tyre-pressure screen is open. It is not a replacement for your vehicle's built-in tyre-pressure monitoring or for checking pressures with a gauge.

4.6 Lean & Tilt

Lean angle is computed from speed and yaw rate; pitch and roll from gravity, relative to the position you zero. Both are estimates that depend on the phone being rigidly mounted; they are an indication, not a limit you can trust your safety to.

4.7 Waypoints

Waypoints shows the straight-line distance and direction to a saved place. It is not a navigation system: it does not know roads, obstacles or private property, and the compass depends on the phone's magnetometer, which metal and electronics disturb.

4.8 AI vehicle counter and video

The vehicle count is produced by an on-device object detector and is approximate. Videos and overlays are for personal use and entertainment and carry the accuracy limits above. Enabling the counter reduces video resolution, as stated in the app.

4.9 Service log and reminders

Service reminders are notifications based on the dates and mileage you enter. They can be missed if notifications are disabled, the phone is off, or the system restricts the app. They do not replace the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.

4.10 Drive links, AI drive analysis and maps

A shared drive page shows the drive as the app recorded it, with the GPS limits of Section 4.1; the replay is an illustration, not evidence of speed or position. The page depends on our server and on third-party map and imagery services and may be unavailable, slow or, after expiry or deletion, gone; we do not promise that a link stays reachable for its whole period. Satellite imagery may be outdated and may not match the road as it is today. The places and streets listed with a drive — in the app, on a drive link or on a live page — come from Google's geocoder and may be incomplete or wrong, for example at a crossing or on a road without a name. The AI drive analysis is generated by a language model from a summary of your drives and is general commentary, not driving instruction, insurance advice or a safety assessment.

4.11 Live tracking

The live page shows the car a few seconds behind the real moment, and further behind when the connection is slow. It depends on the phone's GPS signal and internet connection, on our server and on map services; it can be interrupted, delayed or unavailable, and the page then says that it is waiting for the phone. Live tracking is not a safety, emergency or vehicle-tracking service: do not rely on it to know that someone is safe or to find a vehicle.

05In-app purchases

5.1 Pro licence

Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing that unlocks the Pro features on devices signed in with the same Google account. The price is shown in your local currency at checkout. Pro features may evolve with updates.

5.2 AI credits

Each AI diagnosis, AI drive analysis or AI vehicle specification consumes one credit from the same balance. Pro includes a limited free quota, stated in the app; additional credits are sold in consumable packs through Google Play. Credits are tied to your Pro licence, have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not refunded for answers already delivered. Repeating an unchanged request does not consume a credit, unless you explicitly ask for a fresh answer.

5.3 Payment and taxes

All payments are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment details. Taxes are handled by Google Play according to your billing country.

5.4 Refunds

Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy and must be requested from Google Play within the eligible period. We are not obliged to refund outside that policy except where consumer-protection law requires it.

5.5 Licence verification

The app verifies the Pro licence with Google Play and with our server. If a purchase is refunded, revoked or found fraudulent, Pro features and any remaining credits may be disabled.

06Third-party services and hardware

Some features rely on services we do not control: OpenStreetMap map tiles, Esri (ArcGIS Location Platform) satellite imagery, MET Norway weather data, Google's geocoder, OpenAI (through our server) for AI diagnosis, drive analysis and vehicle specifications, Google Play for purchases. Their availability, accuracy and terms are theirs, and a feature may stop working if such a service changes or is unavailable. Bluetooth adapters, sensors and GPS receivers are made by third parties; we do not warrant compatibility beyond what the app states, and we are not responsible for their behaviour or their effect on your vehicle.

07Intellectual property

Zero Lap — its source code, binaries, interface, graphics, icons, audio, documentation, the "Zero Lap" name and logo — is owned by Zoran Gojkovic and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or derive source code from the app; modify or create derivative works; redistribute, rent, lease, resell or sublicense it; remove proprietary notices; or use our name or branding to suggest endorsement without written permission.

Measurement data, videos, service records and exported files you create with Zero Lap belong to you, including drives you publish as links and live trackings you start (subject to the display rights in Sections 3.5 and 3.6). Text generated by the AI diagnosis, drive analysis and vehicle specification is provided for your personal use.

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence. Satellite imagery © Esri and its data providers, served through the ArcGIS Location Platform under Esri's terms. Weather data from MET Norway, used under its licence. The shared drive page uses the Leaflet library (BSD-2-Clause licence).

08Modifications to service

We may update, change, add or remove features; change prices of future purchases (existing purchases are unaffected); change the free AI quota; require a minimum Android version; and discontinue the app or any server-based feature with reasonable notice where practical. Significant changes are announced through the store page, release notes or in-app notices.

09Termination

Your licence lasts until terminated. You may terminate it by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, to Pro features or to server services if you materially violate these Terms, use the app for illegal activity, abuse or circumvent purchases or credits, or attempt to compromise the app or our server. Sections that by their nature survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) continue to apply.

• Driving decisions — any accident, collision, injury or death while using or consulting the app
• Crash detection — a crash not detected, an alert not sent or not delivered, a false alarm, or the response of your contacts
• Vehicle repairs — parts, labour or damage resulting from acting on OBD data or an AI diagnosis
• Tyre pressure, lean or tilt — reliance on a reading that was inaccurate or stale
• Traffic violations — fines, penalties or licence consequences
• Property damage or personal injury — to you, passengers, other road users, pedestrians or property
• Inaccurate measurements — all values are estimates
• Drive links — anyone opening a page whose address you shared or that was passed on, what they learn from it, or a link that expired, was removed or was unavailable
• Live tracking — anyone following a link you shared or that was passed on, what they learn from it, a delay or interruption, or a tracking that ended or was unavailable
• Data loss — from device failure, app faults, uninstallation, server outage or user error, including service-log backups, cloud backups, drive links and AI credits
• Third-party services and hardware — their conduct, availability or effect on your vehicle
• Business or financial loss

12Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Zoran Gojkovic, his heirs, successors, assigns, contractors and agents from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the app; your violation of these Terms, the Privacy Policy, any law or any third party's rights; any content, video or data you publish or share; the emergency contacts you enter and messages sent to them; and your conduct while operating a vehicle.

13Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably go to the competent courts of Belgrade, Serbia, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise. Consumers in the European Union keep the protections of their home country's mandatory law and may use the European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform where applicable.

14Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms. For material changes we update the "Last updated" date, show an in-app notice where practical, and obtain renewed consent where the law requires it. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not, stop using the app.
