01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and Zoran Gojkovic ("we", "us", or "developer"), governing your access to and use of the ZeroLap mobile application ("ZeroLap" or "the app").

By downloading, installing, or using ZeroLap, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

02Description of service

ZeroLap is a GPS-based speedometer and vehicle performance measurement application for Android devices. Features include, but are not limited to:

• Real-time speed display in digital and analog modes, with MPH and KPH units
• HUD mode with mirrored display for windshield projection
• Performance tests: 0–100 km/h, 0–200 km/h, 0–60 mph, quarter mile, eighth mile, braking (100–0), and roll-on measurements
• G-force measurement (longitudinal and lateral)
• Estimated horsepower calculation from acceleration curves (Pro)
• Video overlay recording with real-time performance data (Pro)
• Measurement history, trip logs, and export (CSV, GPX, KML, PDF)
• Ghost mode for comparison against previous runs

ZeroLap is offered in a free version and an optional Pro version unlocked via one-time purchase through Google Play Billing.

03User responsibilities

3.1 Safe driving

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Driving safely is your sole responsibility, regardless of any information displayed by ZeroLap
• You will comply with all traffic laws, speed limits, and road-safety regulations in your jurisdiction
• You will not allow the app to distract you from the road
• Any consequence resulting from your distraction, inattention, or decision-making while driving is entirely your responsibility

3.2 Lawful use only

You agree not to use ZeroLap:

• To engage in illegal street racing or other unlawful driving activity
• To exceed posted speed limits on public roads or in any manner that endangers yourself or others
• To interfere with emergency services, law enforcement, or public safety
• To reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or algorithms of the app
• To redistribute, republish, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app without our written permission
• To circumvent license verification, in-app purchase mechanisms, or any technical protection measures
• In violation of any applicable local, national, or international law

3.3 Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use ZeroLap. Users under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

04Accuracy disclaimers

ZeroLap provides estimates based on sensor data from your device. No measurement produced by the app is guaranteed to be exact. You understand and accept that measurement results depend on device hardware, environmental conditions, mounting stability, and GPS signal quality.

4.1 GPS speed and position

GPS speed accuracy depends on satellite signal quality, device hardware, atmospheric conditions, and surroundings (buildings, tunnels, tree cover, weather). Typical accuracy is ±2 to ±5 km/h in clear conditions; accuracy degrades in tunnels, dense urban environments, or during poor weather. ZeroLap displays current GPS quality (satellite count and horizontal accuracy) so you can assess reliability in real time.

4.2 Acceleration and braking measurements

Performance tests such as 0–100 km/h or 0–60 mph use a combination of GPS and inertial sensor fusion to estimate elapsed time. Under optimal conditions, accuracy is typically on the order of ±0.1 seconds. Actual accuracy depends on device hardware, mounting, and environmental factors.

4.3 Estimated horsepower

4.4 G-force measurements

G-force values are derived from your device's accelerometer. Accuracy depends on stable phone mounting, calibration, and correct compensation for road incline. Values are estimates and should be interpreted as such.

4.5 Video overlay

Video recordings with performance overlay are for entertainment and personal use. The overlay reflects measurement data computed at the time of recording, subject to the same accuracy constraints described above.

05In-app purchases

5.1 Pro version

The Pro version of ZeroLap is unlocked via a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing. Pro features are listed in the app's store page and may evolve with future updates. The purchase price is displayed in your local currency at the time of checkout.

5.2 Payment and taxes

All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information. Applicable taxes are handled by Google Play according to your country of billing.

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests for purchases made through Google Play are subject to Google Play's refund policy. Refunds must be requested directly from Google Play Support within the eligible period. We are not obligated to issue refunds outside of Google Play's policy, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

5.4 Future subscriptions

Should we introduce an optional subscription tier in the future (for example, "Cloud Plus"), separate terms and pricing will apply at the time of purchase. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your Google Play account settings.

06Intellectual property

ZeroLap, including its source code, compiled binaries, user interface, graphics, icons, audio, documentation, and the "ZeroLap" name and logo, is owned by Zoran Gojkovic and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal and non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from the app
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the app
• Redistribute, rent, lease, lend, resell, or sublicense the app
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use our name, logo, or branding in any way suggesting endorsement without our written permission

Measurement data, video recordings, and exported files that you generate using ZeroLap belong to you. You are free to share, publish, or use this data as you wish.

07Modifications to service

We reserve the right to:

• Update, modify, add, or remove features of ZeroLap at any time
• Change the pricing of future purchases (purchases already made are unaffected)
• Require a minimum Android version or device capabilities for continued functionality
• Discontinue the app or any feature, with reasonable notice where practical

We will make reasonable efforts to announce significant changes via the app's store page, release notes, or in-app notifications.

08Termination

Your license to use ZeroLap remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the app.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app or to any paid feature if you:

• Materially violate these Terms
• Use the app to engage in illegal activity
• Abuse, fraudulently obtain, or circumvent in-app purchase mechanisms
• Attempt to compromise the security, integrity, or availability of the app

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (for example, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will continue to apply after termination.

10Limitation of liability

• Driving decisions — any accident, collision, injury, or death resulting from your operation of a vehicle while using or consulting the app
• Traffic violations — fines, tickets, license suspensions, or other legal consequences from speeding, reckless driving, or other traffic infractions
• Property damage — to your vehicle, other vehicles, infrastructure, or any property
• Personal injury — to yourself, passengers, other road users, or pedestrians
• Inaccurate measurements — you acknowledge that measurements are estimates and not guarantees
• Data loss — resulting from device failure, app crashes, uninstallation, operating-system changes, or user error
• Business or financial loss — including lost profits, lost data, or interruption of business
• Third-party conduct — including the conduct of other drivers, law enforcement, or service providers

11Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Zoran Gojkovic, his heirs, successors, assigns, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your misuse of the app
• Your violation of these Terms or our Privacy Policy
• Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party
• Any content, video, or measurement data you publish, share, or distribute
• Your conduct while operating a vehicle

12Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts of Belgrade, Serbia, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer domiciled in the European Union, you retain the protections granted by the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may also use the European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform where applicable.

13Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document
• Display an in-app notice before the changes take effect, where practical
• Where required by law, obtain your renewed consent

Your continued use of the app after an updated version of the Terms takes effect constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the app.
